Spend a day at a beach pavilion in Zandvoort
With these summer temperatures, is there anything better than a beach day? Zandvoort is our favourite beach town. Catch the train from Amsterdam Central Station. The journey only takes 25 minutes by train so no need to have a car (and get stuck in traffic jams)! Zandvoort boasts several beautiful beach bars with a chill vibe. To make your life easier, we went to Zandvoort and picked out the best beach bars. In this article you'll find our tips! Ubuntu
When we walked through the restaurant of Ubuntu, we were wowed by how beautiful the place is. The big plants, furniture, and accessories give it a relaxed Ibiza vibe. Sit back and enjoy the outfit parade taking place on the terrace. Is the deck full? Go to the takeaway bar for a falafel pita or some satay. Despite what the name 'takeaway' bar suggests, you can sit at a table or on a beach chair while enjoying your food. The prices here are a little bit lower, perfect for your student budget.
Hippie Fish
One of the most beautiful beach pavilions in Zandvoort is Hippie Fish. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're on holiday without getting on a plane. We ordered a Thai salad and a green burger and decided that we wanted to come back here many more times. On a rainy day, nestle into lounge sofas or find a spot by the fireplace.
Noosa
Is Australia on your bucket list? Beach bar Noosa is the closest you’ll get to the Aussie experience. Noosa is a surfing village on Australia's Sunshine Coast, and the beach bar has this vibe to a tee. Eating at Noosa is a treat: the veggie, vegan, meat, and fish dishes are suitable for shared dining, so you can share portions with your table mates. Next to the beach club you’ll find Surfana surf school, where you learn how to catch a wave yourself. Great choice if you want to have an active day.
Kayuca
If you are looking for a beach club to get some studying done, Kayuca is our favorite. It's nice and cool inside, and they have large tables. Reserve a seat with a power outlet in advance, and you're good to go. A day of work in this beach club gives you an instant holiday feeling. Order a lemon-squeezy drink and pink pancakes for the cherry on top of this chill day of studying. After work, settle down on the terrace with a beer while enjoying the sunset.
