If you're under 18, you will need permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter into the contract. From the age of 18, you can enter into a contract yourself.

Step 2 Selecting a studio type

If we have availability, you can book a studio straight away. You can find up-to-date availability in our studio selector.

First, select your location and your preferred academic term. Each academic term has a fixed start and end date. Once selected, you will see which studio types are available for that academic term.

At Amsterdam Minervahaven, you can choose from the following booking types:

  • Core
  • Core Flex
  • Essential
  • Signature
  • Prestige
  • Prestige Plus

Each type specifies the type of studio you are booking, ranging from standard all-in studios to larger studios with premium views.

For more information about studio types, please check the Amsterdam Minervahaven page.

Step 3 Completing your application

Did you decide on the studio type that fits your needs? Then click “I want this studio” to proceed with the application process.

1. Register

First, you will need to create an account and fill in your personal details so our team can review your eligibility.

Please note that we are using a new booking system, which means all applicants must register again, even if you have previously applied for our studios with a seeker account.

Once registered, you can select one of the available studios within the studio type you have chosen.

2. Pay the down payment

€99.99 down payment is required to secure your studio.

Please note:

  • The studio is not reserved until this payment is completed and it may be booked by someone else in the meantime.
  • The down payment is non-refundable, but it will be deducted from your first month's invoice.

3. Digitally sign your contract

You will immediately get to see the contract after completing the down payment, so you can sign it digitally.

4. Application review and confirmation

After signing the contract, our team will review your application. If everything is in order and you meet the eligibility requirements, we will countersign the contract and confirm your booking.

Step 4 Planning your check-in

All that's left to do is check in!

After completing your first payment, you can schedule your check-in appointment. Check-ins are available 7 days a week between 2 PM and 7 PM.

The duty manager or receptionist will welcome you at reception and hand over the key card to your studio.

Do you want to check in later than the contract's start date? No problem! You can schedule your check-in appointment for a date that works best for you. Please note that you are still responsible for the rent from the start date stated in your contract.

When you first enter your studio, please check if everything is in orderIf you have any questions or remarks, the duty manager will be happy to assist you.

Now, let the best time of your life begin!

Step 1 Cleaning the studio

Before your leave, you'll need to make sure the studio is clean and tidy. If this is not the case and the studio needs to be cleaned professionally, you'll be charged a cleaning fee or part of your deposit will be withheld.

Cleaning
It's important to do a thorough cleaning. Not sure what to do or which products to use? In our checklist, we've made that easy for you. :)

Repairs
If something in your studio is broken, you will need to submit a repair request before you leave so the duty manager can fix it before your departure.

Step 2 Emptying the studio

Please take all your personal items and belongings with you, leaving the studio in the same condition as it was delivered to you.

You must take the kitchen, bathroom, and linen package with you. The linen package includes towels, guest towels, wash cloths, comforter + cover, and pillow + pillow cases.

Don't want to keep any of this? You can donate your linen package in a textile container at the Spaarndammerstraat 145, other items in the designated container in the recycling room, or make an appointment for picking up bulky waste. Not sure how? Read all about it here

The decorative pillows are part of the studios furnishment and should be left in the studio.

Step 3 Check-out

The latest check out time is 11 AM on the end date of your contract. Of course, you can check out earlier than the last date, but this does not affect the monthly costs.

You have to hand in the keys of the studio at the reception, so that the duty manager knows that you have checked out.

Step 4 Deregistration from the municipality

After leaving your studio at Amsterdam Minervahaven, you will need to deregister from the municipality or change your address. Follow the information below that applies to you.

  • I'm moving within Amsterdam. Report your relocation here.
  • I'm moving to another municipality in the Netherlands. Register with your new municipality.
  • I'm moving to a different country. Deregister from the municipality here.

Step 5 Deposit

You have paid a deposit for your studio. Before you get it back, we will settle any outstanding costs, such as payment arrears or costs for repairs in the studio.

If you pay your rent via direct debit, we will refund (the remainder of) the deposit one month after the end of the contract. We will also stop the direct debit.

If you don't pay your rent via direct debit, make sure to send us your bank details a month before you leave so we can refund (the remainder of) the deposit one month after the end of the contract.

What our residents are saying.

I really like living here because you can easily make friends. Especially when you are on the basketball court, in the gym or in the game corner.

I asked myself the other day, what the difference was between living in Student Experience and heaven. Only thing I could come up with was that there's a free gym in Student Experience, and probably not in heaven."
