Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, veggie-curious, or someone that likes to eat plant-based occasionally, we've got you covered. Here are some of our favorite vegan restaurants in Amsterdam. The best thing about them? They're all budget-friendly. :)

Maoz

You may have spotted the bright green Maoz sign after a night out at Rembrandtplein. This falafel bar is one of Amsterdam's most notable vegan places, with five locations throughout the city. Pita Falafel starts from 7 euros, and you can add any salad, sauce, or topping you like for free. You can get Maoz delivered to your studio, but if you decide to eat there, you can enjoy their delicious all-you-can-eat bar. Note: some sauces and toppings at Maoz are vegetarian.

MKZ

For a truly unique and warm experience, MKZ is the place to be. This community kitchen opens its doors for a three-course potluck dinner four days a week. Each night, a different team of volunteers is in charge of the kitchen, carefully preparing delicious vegan food. Super affordable, because for only 5 euros you can enjoy the whole dinner. All you have to do in return is wash your dishes and bring some good energy into the space. Because this is what MKZ is about: building a community by sharing affordable vegan food & drinks and great conversation!

Yemayá’s Vegan Corner

A little bit out of the city, there's a true hidden gem: Yemayá's Vegan Corner. This small restaurant is located in Reigersbos, a neighborhood in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Their menu offers a variety of delicious vegan options made from local produce. Undeniably influenced by Africa and the Caribbean, each dish is a one-of-a-kind experience of different flavors, skillfully prepared with love. Prices are between 6 and 12 euros, and with your student card, you'll receive a nice discount on some of their dishes.

Trevi's

Italian food is always good. But an excellent Italian restaurant truly stands out when they have a genuine, authentic vibe that will bring you to Italy as soon as you enter. And that's precisely what happens at Trevi's! At this vegan restaurant in De Pijp, you can enjoy some yummy, homemade vegan pizza and pasta made from the freshest ingredients. As they like to say, their main ingredients are love, passion, and time. The intimate setting and red-white checkered tablecloths make it easy to imagine yourself on a summer trip to Italy, and with main dishes ranging from 11 to 16 euros, you might have some budget left for one of their gelatos. Buon appetito!

Little Plant Pantry

Little Plant Pantry is a small vegan cafe and zero-waste bulk shop in Amsterdam Oud-West. The cafe prepares its food with local produce or ingredients from artisanal producers. To support their goal of minimizing waste, they cook with what's available. That means that their menu can change daily, and you can expect nutritious, seasonal dishes that are healthy for you and the environment. Prices range from 3 euros for cake to 14 euros for a meal. Whether you're hungry for a sweet pastry or a wholesome veggie stew, this is the place for you.
