How to personalize your furnished studio
There are many benefits to a fully furnished studio. It can save you time, money, and effort as all the big furnishing pieces have already been arranged. When you open the door to your new studio, you want it to feel like home. And that’s where your style comes in! In this article, we’ll share some tips on how to add a dash of personality to your furnished studio and really make it your home.
Jazz up your bed
Your bed is the most significant piece of furniture in your studio. Of course, it’s meant to sleep in, but you’ll be hanging out on it more often. You can choose crisp, white bedding with neutral-colored pillows or colorful sheets with playful details. Or maybe you prefer black. Go all out and choose whatever suits your style. Plants
Plants are a great addition to any interior. Not only do they look incredibly cute, they are also said to be beneficial for your health. Big leaves, weird-shaped leaves, leaves with holes, purple leaves: plants come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, so you can surely find some that match your style. ALDI and LIDL offer a small selection of affordable plants, or you can pick some up at your local gardening center.
Rugs
With endless possibilities in size, shape, and technique, rugs offer a canvas for creativity. Do you want to add a pop of color? Or want to add some texture? You prefer a subtle, neutral rug. The sky's the limit! Additionally, rugs can define specific areas within the studio, such as a reading corner. In the Netherlands, you can find affordable rugs at Kwantum, IKEA, or Jysk. In Spain, there are many options found at El Corte Inglés.
Accessories
Accessories will help your space go from ‘just another studio’ to being YOUR studio. Start with adding personal items such as photo frames with images of loved ones, souvenirs, and collectibles. Then add some interior accessories such as vases, candle holders, books, or lights. If you have a small budget, we recommend you visit a thrift shop or flea market and look for items that fit your style or color scheme.
Focus on the senses
‘Home’ is not just about what you see; it’s about how you feel. When decorating your studio, make sure you include all your senses. Using a diffuser with essential oil or placing a fragrant amber cube on a little dish will make your studio smell nice. Cozy blankets, cushions, or a bathrobe are great for snuggling up and relaxing.
