Community tips for the best hangover meals

Whether you spent all night dancing or had one too many drinks, the next morning your body is probably screaming for one important thing: food. But not just any food: delicious hangover meal that is sure to make you feel better. We asked our Student Experience residents to share their go-to day-after meals. From ultimate comfort food to budget-friendly fixes, here are their favorites. 

Garlic tomato pasta with cream, parmesan, and basil 

Creamy, savory, and exactly what you need. The combo of tomato, garlic, and Parmesan makes this dish pure comfort in a bowl. Bonus points if you’ve got some fresh basil lying around, but dried herbs work fine, too. 

Spicy noodle soup (Shin Ramyun Extra Spicy) 

Sometimes you just need to sweat it out. This ultra spicy Korean noodle soup will kickstart your metabolism,blasting the last bit of hangover out of your body. One bowl and you’ll feel way more alive, some tears may be included.

Frozen pizza and a coke 

The classic hangover cure and an essential to stock in your freezer.No cooking skills required, just an oven and a bottle of coke within reach. Bonus: you barely have to get out of bed. 

Pasta, pasta, and pasta (any kind will do) 

Whether it’s penne with ketchup or spaghetti with just butter and salt, pasta is always a solid choice. Simple, fast, filling. What more could you want? 

Plain white toast, water, and sleep 

Sometimes less is more. A few dry pieces of toast, lots of water, and then right back to bed. Sounds boring? Maybe. Does it work? Absolutely.

Burger and fries 

Greasy, salty, and perfectly balanced. Whether you order it or throw it together yourself, a juicy burger with crispy fries never disappoints. 

Udon noodles with stir-fried veggies, tofu, and egg 

Feel like balancing your night of drinking with a healthier food option?  This Japanese-inspired bowl is full of flavor, protein, and a touch of zen. You’ll instantly feel more put together. :) 

The broke student special: stale bread (toasted to the edge), canned tuna, and lettuce 

Creative and surprisingly nutritious. This student staple is all you need when your wallet is as empty as your energy tank. Pro tip: opt for tuna in olive oil for extra flavor.
