The end-of-summer bucket list that you can still finish!

Let’s be honest: August snuck up on all of us. One minute you’re making big summer plans, and the next you’re Googling which school supplies to pack for uni. But don’t panic! Summer isn’t over yet, and there’s still plenty of time to soak up some sun and fun before the new semester kicks in.

Whether you’re at home, in your student city, or prepping your move, here’s your last-minute end-of-summer bucket list filled with things you can do without too much planning.

1. Catch a sunrise or sunset

Yes, it’s cliché, but that's for a reason: watching sunrises and sunsets is just too good to miss! Have you taken the time to watch one this summer? Find a good spot near your home, bring coffee and snacks (and a friend if you want), and enjoy the moment. No scrolling allowed!

2. Make a “Summer 2025” memory playlist

Gather the songs that defined your summer, including those you played during long walks, road trips, or late nights with friends. Make a playlist of these that you can play whenever you need some summer nostalgia.

3. Eat iconic summer food

Whatever that means for you: a huge ice cream cone, a juicy watermelon, a BBQ, or freshly caught seafood. If you can, eat it outside and eat as much as you want. It's not summer forever, so it's time to savor the flavors!

4. Allow yourself one chill-only day (or more!)

No to-do lists, no productivity, no scrolling. Wake up late, wear something comfy, nap outside, journal, or just stare at the clouds. You may get bored, but that's the point. When you get back to your studies, there will be plenty of moments when you'll wish you were bored.

5. Visit a place you've been wishing to go to

Whether it’s a cozy book shop, a cute vintage store, a nice restaurant, or a sunny rooftop bar? Call a friend or go solo, now's the time to tick it off your bucket list.

6. Swim in a natural body of water

Nothing says ‘summer’ like jumping into a pond, lake, river, or sea. It truly is one of the best feelings and a guarantee to boost your mood. Even if it's a little cold, do it anyway! You'll be happy you did it.

Remember: your summer isn’t over yet

You don't need to travel all the way to the other side of the world to experience summer. Just allow yourself to relax and truly savor the moment. Because that's what summer is really all about!

Before you start planning your next academic year, pick two or three of these ideas and make them happen this week! :)
