Fall activities in Madrid – 2025 update!
Fall has arrived in Madrid! The air is crisp, the trees are turning bright red and orange, and the city is buzzing with cozy activities. Whether you’re into outdoor adventures or cozy indoor activities, here’s how you make the most of fall in Madrid this year.
Afternoons at Retiro park
There’s nothing like spending an October afternoon in Retiro Park. Take a walk or just sit by the Palacio de Cristal and watch the sunlight dance through the trees. Grab a hot drink and soak in the atmosphere; it’s the best and simplest way to enjoy fall!
Hiking through Hayedo de Montejo
Love a good nature escape? Hayedo de Montejo is a must-visit. This UNESCO world heritage forest is just an hour from Madrid and turns into a fairytale in fall. Visits are free but regulated. All visits are guided by environmental educators and must be reserved in advance.
Specialty coffee route
This one’s for all coffee lovers! Warm up with some of Madrid’s best specialty coffee. Try different cafés, each with their own unique vibe and taste. We recommend HanSo Café, Ruda Café, Acid Café, and Hola Coffee. Extra points if you try them all before winter. :)

Go for a fall run at Casa de Campo
Fall weather is the perfect running weather. It's not too warm and not too cold. Put on your running outfit and jog around Lago Casa de Campo. End your run with a hot coffee or a snack by one of the lakeside cafés.
Halloween Pre-Party
Fall isn't fall without a good Halloween party. Luckily, that's just what you'll find at Student Experience! Don't miss our Halloween Pre-Party with the spookiest vibes and, of course, the best drinks and snacks. Have a good time with your fellow residents before heading out into the city's Halloween nightlife.
