Discover Amsterdam by bike

When you're in Amsterdam, it’s hard to ignore: the sound of bicycle bells and parked bicycles everywhere. In addition to its cheese, clogs and tulips, the Netherland is also known for its cycling inhabitants. Cycling is not only fun and healthy, but also the ideal way to explore the city. Get on your bike and discover the most beautiful places, that are often much less accessible by car or public transport.

As with everything in life, good preparation is half the battle.
- Get a good bike. You can reserve a Hely bicycle and/or e-bike at the Student Experience locations Amsterdam Zuidas, NDSM and Minervahaven (for free or for a small fee). Do you live at Amsterdam Amstel? The nearest bicycle rental is located at Amstel station.
- Take something to drink (and snack) with you for the road.
- Plan your cycling route ahead in Google Maps.
