- Ensure the lock is securely fastened and change the lock combination. Don't forget to take a photo.
- For e-bikes, keep the battery and lock key inserted when returning to the parking garage.
- When using any bike, ensure that it is properly locked, and for e-bikes, the back wheel lock is engaged, and the battery and key are removed.

In the unfortunate event of theft on an electric bike, you can prove that the bike was locked by submitting a police report and returning the back wheel key and battery which you should have kept with you after locking. Failure to provide proof will result in a charge of up to € 2000.
